Feb 2025 Work Party

For this months work party members gathered at Abbey Farm and set off to clear fallen trees and branches from the river upstream of the railway bridge. After a walk back to gather more tools and equipment the work party re-convened at Silver Springs where good work was carried out to clear the western bank near the river entrance point at the back of the garden centre. This bank clearance work will make this part of the river more accessible to those members who wish to remain on the bank whilst fishing this beat. Some wooden poles were also placed into the river access point with the plan being to create some steps to make entering/exiting the river easier. Water quality monitoring and debris clearance from Anjou bridge was also carried out once the work at Silver Springs was finished.
